The 10W laser module is equipped with the most advanced laser beam splitters, allowing a power jump from 5W to 10W. This means you can now play with a wider variety of materials and produce more projects.

Meanwhile, the working speed of the 10 W laser module can be up to 6000 mm/min, while cutting linden timbers up to 8 mm thick. To put it in perspective, the cutting speed is up to 8 times faster than that of the 1.6 W laser module. You can literally get a laser job done in the blink of an eye.

With fast-axis collimating (FAC) lenses integrated into the two laser diodes, the module first compresses the laser spot of each laser diode. It then combines the laser beams from the two laser diodes using beam combining technology, resulting in higher output power and an ultra-thin laser focus (0.05 mm × 0.2 mm), enabling higher energy density. The smaller laser focus and higher power provide high-quality laser work with impeccable detail.

The unique wind channel inside the 10 W laser module provides excellent wind pressure, ejecting the vapors as the laser beam cuts the material, sending the vapors directly to the grids of the laser cutting and engraving platform, which are then channeled away, reducing their interference with laser machining.

With the updated camera capture process, the wide-angle HD camera captures your material in a single shot and allows you to get an instant preview in Luban of your laser work on the material. Reviewing the work area is now completely hassle-free.

To protect the user and bystanders, we include a gyroscopic sensor in the module, which ensures that no laser beam comes out if the module is installed incorrectly or deviates from its designated position.

Prolonged exposure to high temperatures will reduce the life of the laser diode. The 10 W laser module has two separate blower systems for your PCBA and laser diode to ensure that the diode is properly cooled each time you use it. With proper use, the lifetime can be 8000 to 10 000 hours.

The module automatically stops working whenever its temperature sensor detects a higher than normal working temperature (exceeding 55 ℃/131 ℉). Once the temperature returns to the normal range, it can resume its work on the touch screen.

The 10 W laser module is compatible with all Snapmaker 2.0 series models except the 150 models, and will be compatible with upcoming machines. You can also use it with the add-ons, including the rotary module, emergency stop button, air purifier and CAN concentrator.
