    Main features of the PLA 3D870 filament from Smartfil Smart Materials

    PLA or polylactic acid filament is a biodegradable, sustainable and versatile polymer. Unlike other everyday plastics, PLA is made from renewable resources such as corn, wheat or sugar cane which gives it the biodegradable quality. This PLA has been improved and is the latest innovation from Nature Works.

    Normal PLA is widely used in FDM technology 3D printers because it is easy to handle, fully stabilized and has an excellent detail result.

    In addition, being improved PLA 3D870 achieves greater mechanical and thermal resistance that resembles an ABS but maintaining the ease of use that characterizes the PLA

    It is highly recommended if you need a PLA with extra strength

    It comes in two thicknesses; 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm. The printing temperature ranges between 190 - 230º C.
