Snapmaker J1 3D Printer

J1 offers you a first-class print speed of 350 mm/s while ensuring high print resolution. It is made possible by optimized vibration compensation technology. This technology reduces vibrations caused by high-speed movements, minimizing hum to improve print quality. With the maximum acceleration of 10,000 mm/s², you can efficiently realize small models full of details.

By analyzing the movement directions of extruders in advance, J1 can avoid problems such as corner bulging, providing better print quality at the corners.

The J1's structure is made of one-piece die casting consisting of an upper frame and base plus four aluminum alloy bars.

The industrial-grade linear rails are manufactured by CNC grinding to micron level, ensuring smooth and stable movements. A significant increase in precision, rigidity and durability for a fast, accurate and consistent authoring experience.

J1 inherits Snapmaker's iconic all-metal design that users value highly for its rigidity and durability. It provides better heat dissipation with the main board and power supply distributed on the base and aluminum alloy as the main material. All electronic components well oiled, at your command.

3D printing modes of the Snapmaker J1

Default mode and backup mode: 300 mm × 200 mm × 200 mm × 200 mm; Copy mode: 160 mm × 200 mm × 200 mm; Mirror mode: 150 mm × 200 mm × 200 mm × 200 mm

Dual media printing with IDEX

Compared to a multi-material unit, IDEX dual-material printing requires less time to change filament and generates less waste. In addition, IDEX offers the cleanest two-extruder solution that prevents cross-contamination.

J1 supports PVA and other soluble materials. Wet the print and the substrates dissolve, resulting in a smooth surface and excellent dimensional accuracy, ideal for complex geometry, hollow structures and exquisite detail.

Two-material printing. In one print, take full advantage of two sets of properties. Combine the strength of nylon with the flexibility of TPU for functional parts that stand up to everyday wear and tear impressively. Also print multi-part objects as a whole. Without assembly, the object achieves stronger interconnections, making it less prone to damage.

Cut your waiting time in half, double your productivity. IDEX is the only extrusion system with two independent extruders that move independently on the X-axis, allowing you to run two prints simultaneously. During dual extrusion printing, the non-running extruder preheats while on standby and starts printing right after the running extruder leaves, significantly reducing waiting time.

The extruders have been redesigned to deliver consistently excellent performance with advanced and demanding materials. Print high-quality projects that meet the structural and functional demands of various engineering applications with little effort.

Maximum nozzle temperature of 300 °C is useful when printing with high-temperature filaments such as nylon, reinforced nylon and polycarbonate.

Excellent extrusion accuracy that aids in the extrusion of flexible filaments, along with the high responsiveness of dual direct drives to make deposition faster, smoother and more precisely controlled. It is integrated with a filament sensor to inform you and pause the print job in case of filament exhaustion, nozzle clogging and other anomalies that fail to load the filament..

The uniquely designed compact extrusion path allows you to print smoothly with TPU and many other flexible materials.

It provides stable environmental conditions to facilitate consistently reliable performance of high-temperature materials. For example, it prevents ABS and many other materials from warping.

Intuitive 5" touch screen with file previews and many details, answering all your questions and needs.

Snapmaker J1 calibration

Using a high flatness PEI glass plate, J1 can reduce the size of a 3 × 3 (9 points) or 4 × 4 (16 points) leveling to a 3-point one without compromising leveling and downtime reduced by 70-80% [ 5] .

J1's build plate is made of completely flat glass, which makes its first layer smooth and adhesive. Bright glass on one side and PEI coating on the other side, which helps the adhesion of various filaments. The plate can be easily removed to make it very useful for maintenance and impression removal.

Loosen the two screws on the hot end, fix or replace the hot end and resume printing immediately.

Tuned and tested to its best condition. When J1 arrives on your table, just pull it out, mount the filament holders, doors and panels, and get started right away.
