Snapmaker 3-in-1 modular 3D printers have revolutionized the market. Laser engraving and cutting

Traditional 3D printers can only print in 3D. Snapmaker is completely different. With interchangeable modules, Snapmaker's functionality can be changed quickly, just like changing camera lenses. Now you can make many types of beautiful and artistic creations by laser engraving and cutting.

With the most advanced 10W laser module, Artisan is able to cut more materials faster and deeper, as well as offer refined laser engraving. Compared with the Snampaker A350 whose laser was 1.6W, the engraving work of the 10W laser module can reach a speed of 6000 mm/min, while cutting wood up to 8 mm thick in a single pass, i.e. 8 times faster.

The laser module, powered by laser beam splitters and beam-forming optics, features a high power of 10 W and an ultra-thin laser focus (0.05 mm × 0.2 mm). This enables high-quality laser work with impeccable detail.

A wide variety of materials that you encounter in everyday life can be laser engraved or cut, including paper, plywood, leather, leather, acrylic, cardboard, slate, brick, stainless steel, anodized aluminum, fabric and even foods such as cookies and coconuts. Triangulation technology calculates the thickness of materials and completes autofocus in seconds.

CNC carving

Equipped with a 200W CNC module, Artisan further enhances CNC performance without losing the ER11 collet chuck, custom clamp assemblies and dust-proof design that users have praised so highly, delivering a new desktop CNC experience.

Compared to that of the Snapmaker 2.0, the Artisan's CNC module has the power increased by 300% and the maximum spindle speed increased by 50%, making it 6 times faster when machining hardwoods such as beech.

The high-rigidity linear modules and high-speed spindle power the CNC module to smoothly carve or cut different materials with dimensional accuracy down to 0.2 mm[8].


3d printing

At Snapmaker, industrial-grade drive technology has been leveraged in desktop manufacturing: the Artisan linear modules have inserted steel guide rails manufactured with micron-level CNC cutting. This greatly increases precision, rigidity and durability, delivering a fast, accurate and stable authoring experience.

Snapmaker's Artisan features a superior build volume, being 400 mm × 400 mm × 400 mm and prints materials such as: PLA, ABS, flexible filaments Nylon, TPU; soluble...Artisan is equipped with a dual extrusion 3D printing module compatible with PVA, HIPS and other soluble materials . Just soak the print and the supports will dissolve and leave the model with smooth surface finishes. Complex geometry is no longer a problem.

Thanks to the optimized drive system and motion control algorithm, Artisan features a dimensional accuracy of ± 0.1 mm when printing at a high speed of 180 mm/s.

Fast exchange, not only of tool heads and platforms, but also of hot ends. The dual extrusion 3D printing module also has an integrated motor to automatically lift and exchange the two extruders, without additional tool head movements or additional switch position changes. This enables faster and quieter dual extrusion 3D printing.

In the middle of the Artisan' s hot bed is a 260 × 260 mm high-temperature zone (also known as the inner zone) that can reach 110 °C, while the highest temperature the outer zone can reach is 80 °C. If you place your model in the inner zone, which reaches 60 °C in just 2-3 minutes, the outer zone will not heat up, saving you time and energy.

Artisan can level the hot bed and calibrate the Z compensation of the two extruders automatically, and then calibrate the XY compensation with a semi-automatic program. In 3 steps, you can enjoy dual or two-color material printing with perfect adhesion and alignment.

The new Artisan build plate is made of glass and has a higher smoothness, which ensures a smoother and more adhesive first layer. It has shiny glass on one side and PEI coating on the other, which helps the adhesion of the different strands.

You no longer have to worry about power outages. Snapmaker can automatically detect power loss and then resume exactly where it left off. You can recover any project and get perfect printing/engraving/cutting/carving results every time.
