Main characteristics of PVA filament Smart Materials
PEEK filament or polyester ether ketone is one of the most resistant filaments on the market. It is a semi-crystalline plastic that withstands high temperatures and maintains its mechanical strength. It can be used in FDM technology 3D printers but it is a more complex process and has to be printed at very high temperatures
To print this material, it is very important to control the temperature throughout the build chamber, as there can be no temperature variations. PEEK must be printed at temperatures of between 360°C and 450°C and the bed temperature must be at least 120°C.
It is suitable for applications with higher strength and stiffness, as well as ductility. It is chemically resistant to aggressive environments and suitable for sterilization for medical and food contact applications. It has very good resistance to UV rays and outdoor conditions and is therefore recommended for outdoor use.
