PA FC Smartfil Filters
The Spanish brand Smart Materialsis recognized for the excellent quality in the manufacture of 3D printing materials. Highlights in the coils the great versatility, easy handling, great resistance and properties. Your line Innovatefil has the filaments specially designed for more demanding applications. This range provides a solution to the particularities required by the sector for high performance products and high performances through additive manufacturing.
Main features of PA FC filament Smart Materials
The filament PA FC or carbon fiber polyamideallows printing large objects, without deformations and extremely strong increased resistance and stiffness. The incorporation of carbon fiber increases electrical conductivity, making it suitable for behavioral and dissipative applications.
We highlight the ability to work at temperatures of 150o C with a large adhesion between layers which gives the printed piece a great resistance regardless of the print position.
It's from 1.75 mmin black color and the printing temperature ranges between 255 - 275o C and with a bed temperature of 0 to 60o C.
Recommendations for use with PA FC Smart Materials
It is recommended to keep the product in a dry and dark environment as it could absorb up to 0.5 % of atmospheric humidity and this can create water vapor in extrusion than from a poor surface finish.
It is also convenient to dry the material before using it on a 3D printer. Once the printing is finished, it is necessary to clean the nozzle by removing excess material to avoid unwanted shuts and defects. If several materials are used, it is advisable to have a nozzle for each material to avoid being mixed.
The carbon fiber makes this filament very abrasive so it is necessary to use hardened or similar steel nozzles to print, and thus avoid a premature wear of the components. It is recommended to use 0.6 mm in diameter nozzles and to print layer height of 0.2 mm or higher.
